Spurs

This place sucks a**. The funny thing is they call it a country bar... but it's so f'ing small.. you can't two-step... and too crowded on the inside which forces you outside on their patio.. which is so damn muggy, especially since you are wearing jeans and cowboy attired. who wants to pay $4.50 for a domestic beer... This place bites ass. I do not recommend it at all..

A bit boring and definitely lacking in qualities to make it a successful Cowboy bar. Aside from a few barrels and line dancing I do not get the country theme

I'm not a big Country music fan, but Wrangler's was a lot of fun and had a great staff and clientele. This club is 1/4 the size and has nothing unique about it. The decor is lacking in Country theme and the crowds just aren't there. I heard it was owned by the people that owned and closed Wrangler's, but they didn't bring the same quality and spirit to the area and it's disappointing. I found Wrangler's to be a type of Anchor gay bar for Tampa Bay, but Spurs won't be.

I had so much fun this past Friday, along with some friends who drove from Orlando. Friday nights are particularly festive at Spurs. You can come early for linedance lessons or come later and dance till your feet hurt. Everyone is very friendly, especially if you like to dance or want to learn, you can make many friends easily. If you are gay, or enjoy country-western dancing, or linedancing, you will have fun at Spurs. In other words, you do not have to be gay to have a great time there, nor do you have to be a country fan. If you just take the lesson and dance a couple songs, you will have more fun than you thought possible. There are always handsome cowboys there as well as some cowgirls and some non-westerners as well. I have only been there on Friday, but they are open on Thurs thru Sunday.

A new Gay country and western bar in Ybor City, great new dance florr area, and vary large open patio and deck with a stage and large bar outside.
