I hesitatingly visited Rainbow Cabaret because of the negative reviews. Surprisingly I found this place satisfactory for all purposes of a bath house. The facility is old but it is clean and the staff is courteous and attentive. After my second visit I purchased a yearly membership and am thoroughly satisfied. Daily memberships are ten dollar entry plus fifteen for a locker. Members only pay for lockers which I consider very reasonable. There are NO foul odors, plenty of hot water and fun to be had.
Went there a few months ago and was shocked to find front desk workers huddled under a tarp stretched out over the counter and electrical sound and video equipment to keep the heavily dripping rainwater off. The roof appears to be rotted through and has major leaks in many places. A smell of mold and rot permeates the air. Showers are filthy and have broken knobs and fixtures and feces in the corners. No soap to be found anywhere. I reported this to code enforcement. Nothing done. Great place to catch a deadly disease.
