St. Nicholas Cathedral was patterned after St. Sofia's in Constantinople.
This church is a superior example of New Byzantine architecture with an interior of sculptured Grecian marble, detailed icons and stained glass. The Cathedral was built in 1943 which replaced a smaller structure built in 1907 by the community's early Greek settlers.
