Veterans Community Open Mic

Art2Action Inc. & Sacred Grounds Coffee House, in partnership with The Carpetbag Theatre, Inc. and Alternate ROOTS, are pleased to present this on-going creative space for Veterans, families, community supporters, caregivers and allies in the Tampa Bay area! The MONTHLY Veterans Community Open Mic on the1st Sunday of every month from 6:30-9pm @ Sacred Grounds (4819 E. Busch Blvd., Tampa). 1st SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH: April 5 -- National Poetry Month Guests -- award-winning poets, Amir Rabiyah and Tahani Salah -- with music by DJ Cotton! May 3 -- Special host, veteran & poet K Kylila Bullard! While the Open Mic is open to all, veteran’s issues and experiences take center stage in this unique community event. First time on the mic? Seasoned poet, musician or storyteller? Just want to listen? No problem! Your level of involvement is what you want it to be, no pressure. Sacred Grounds is committed to providing a safe, respectful, welcoming & positive community environment for all.
