I ate here a few times on the weekends before hitting the clubs in GayBor District. The food is good portions, tasty, polite service, specials on strong long island ice teas, and location was perfect - a block to all the gay clubs and shops. It has a laid back atmosphere - a must-do when visiting GayBor.

Tampa is not a huge town and there certainly aren't lots of gay bars like this around here. Me and friends went there tonight, asked the bartender what house wines she had, ordered the pino, and then got the bill for $14 per glass. In tampa...really? We thought this was house wine, asked to speak to Charlie, the owner, who's response was you should have asked for a wine list is we wanted the price. Mixed drinks were $2.50 each to put it in perspective. With an owner that rude, I would never go back, and my friends won't either.....For that much a glass of wine we could have been at a much nicer dump.

We were promptly and warmly greeted...the place has a nice atmosphere. Dance club music became just a little irritating. Nice menu, lots to choose from. (Did not visit the bar on this trip.) Food was very average, as were the prices. Server was kind, and very cute, but service was slow, especially for 2 - 3pm on a weekend, but adequate overall. I'd give it another try sometime if I were in the neighborhood.

stopped for lunch on a tampa trip. the food was so good, i had to go back the next day too. they have some specials on the menu that are very reasonable, and include an all you care to eat salad. well worth the trip. the waiter (josh) got some of the order wrong, but he was so cute, he coul;d get away with anything! great food, great friendly service. check it out!

I had never heard of this place but decided to give it a try. The food was excellent, although a bit on the pricey side. Their wings were the best I have ever tasted and will go back just for them. Don't go if you're in a hurry though, we were the only one's in the dining room and we still had slow service.

I stopped in for a drink with a friend this week. We both had draught beers - $13.00 for two regular sized beers. Definately not going to be a regular watering hole.

Great little neighborhood hangout. Close to the bars and the staff and owners are very friendly. Great happy hour prices and good burgers/salads.

Had a great burger here with out of town family members. The waiter said there would be no problem substituting a different cheese on the bacon cheesburger. That made sense since they were at the same price anyways. When the check came, we were charged extra for both the bacon and the cheese- ON A BACON CHEESEBURGER! Asked to speak with Charlie, who told me "it's his bar, that's the way it is, and if I don't like it, (he motioned toward the door)". I truly felt bad for the waiter who had to witness this train wreck. Charlie needs to loose the gay bar mentality and treat even people he doesn't know as real customers. Remember, Tropics didn't last too long either?

We waited 30 minutes for our second round of drinks. The waiter provided probably the worst customer service experience possible, coming to our table twice over a period of two hours. We asked to speak to "Charlie" and he took the "$12.00" worth of drinks off our bill, leaving the $60.00 worth of food that should have been comped.... he tried to make up for it by asking us if we wanted to do shots with him.... unbelievable

My partner and I have been here twice already in 1 week. We were there for Sunday brucnh, and the 2 for 1 dinner special on Tuesdays. Excellent food and the service was the same. The hamburgers are to die for, as they cook them anyway you like. On the Tuesday we went,we both had the homemade meatloaf which was the best meatloaf I have ever had. Also try the Peroni draft beer. Its great as well and 2for 1 until 8 P.M. Try this place as you won't be disappointed. We plan on going again in a few days.

The food needs definite improvement if this place wants to make it. The bar is great as well as the variety of beers. Alibi's food is way better than the food here, and this place is pricey. I've been 3 times, and the food is always inconsistent. Inconsistent food runs restaurants into the ground; just a word of caution here

Not getting the quality or the flavor for the price. Service is slow and not very attentive.

My partner and I visited Steetcar Charlie's for the first time tonight. I felt the prices were high for the low quality of food being served. The kitchen was very slow. No bread or anything served before the meal and I feel I could have gotten a better steak at Dennys that would not have cost $24.95, in that price range I would have expected some type of flavor. My ice tea was never refilled or refreshed once. This establishment is trying to pull off a high end feel and its just not happening

Excellent Large Bar and restaurant in Ybor City, with a side entertainment area with live music/shows.
