Love this place
Have gone a few Thursdays and over the summer on Sundays after the beach. The crowd is diverse with lots of hot guys I never see in Tampa. Oh, and did I mention the drinks were string?
Tried It Here Five Times...YAWN! BORING!!!
I have given Georgie's Alibi St. Pete FIVE chances to show me why anyone would want to be there. I have never stayed more than 12 minutes. Yes it's clean. It's not ugly. It's not so small. It seems to have a great sound system. The inside is large if you were to remove about 6 walls that make it seem like the inside of my house. It is, indeed, popular. Some nights are packed. But it bores me to tears...'why did I drive over here?' was my question each time I left. Mabe for you...but NOT for me!
Typical...but not good.
I was in Tampa for one month, I went here cause I heard it was good, the bartenders flirted with me long enough to figure out I wasn't putting out and then ignored me and most of the people around me the rest of the night. It's filled with 80% of pretentious queens in their 40's trying to look like they are in their 30's and failing, who think "it's the place to go" but it's not. I went back a second time before I left because a friend wanted to go thought maybe I just caught it on a bad night but no, it was basically the same, walk from one side to another, stand pose, walk back. wouldn't go back when I pass back through.
Great neighborhood bar
This is my bar of choice in St. Pete. Say what you will... Tip well and you will get well tipsy! Expensive drinks? Try 2 for 1 happy hour weekdays from like 11am to 9pm! Monday night is Drag BINGO! A total hoot! Bad food? NOT! Try two for one tuesday or order the cuban... AWESOME! Alibi is my bar of choice in St. Pete. Except for Flamimgo Tea Dance early gay evening on Sundays (4-8ish and beyond...) Drink beer cause they can't mix a drink to save their lives! :
Very good.
One of the areas best 'defaults'. Regardless of the day/night, its going to be one of the busiest places in St Pete. Food is "meh" and the drinks are a bit pricey BUT the music/layout is great and the crowd is usually very good. Worth checking out!
