Ft. Desoto Park

(18 Ratings)
Gorgeous beach and park
After entering Ft. Desoto park, follow signs to the North Beach. Park in the last parking lot and walk and cross the "rainbow bridge" and wade across a shallow lagoon. Once at the beach, continue to your right to the end of the island until you get to the small unofficial gay area.

Can be a VERY cruisy beach and beautiful!

Everything we had heard about this beautiful beach is true! Located southwest of Tampa (south of St. Petersburg, but just a short drive. They have different sections of the beach and you can real quickly tell where the gay part is, with sand dunes, etc. We were here three days and lots of guys each day.

Beautiful

This is one of the best beaches ANYWHERE, and one of the several reasons I miss living in the Bay area. Do trek a little to get away from the crowds. The cardio will do you good and you will be happy that you did.

Great place to explore

Has a feel as though you are secluded in some areas. Most gays go to the far North end to lay out. Definitely a good recommendation!
