WOW - much better
What a difference a new owner can make!! Went from a boring dive to nice neighborhood pub type atmosphere. Lots of laughing, hugging, fun. I liked it there this most recent visit. I hope they do more to keep this place moving in the right direction. Smoke is the enemy, it's the only reason we left early, just was a bit too much as it got later. I suggest better or more powerful smoke eaters in that small of a space. But great difference.
New ownership has things looking better.
A recent visit was a pleasant surprise. The owner brings a fresh attitude. It was busy, nice mixed crowd of older/younger/male/female patrons. The entire atmosphere was friendlier, lighter and a lot more fun. It still a bit on the "too smokey" at times side, but everything else seems TONS better than when the previous owner was driving it into the ground. Keep up the improvement guys, we'll be back.
new owner possible! Not from area looking for help
This bar seems to have a bad rap over the owner and help. What I want to know is, can it be a good place to chill with the right management in place or has it lost alll it's luster already? Is there a way to bring it back?
Not good at all
You know a bar is bad when the strippers don't show up for over 3 weeks in a row. Music is the same old crap. Seems that if you are older and bearish that you're really not welcomed. I overheard management saying to a group of college guys "that" they are the kind of people that they want in their bar.
"we don't want your kind"
me & partner met up with 2 friends. the owner told us after a few hours as long as "you don't get loud i won't kick your asses out." wtf? so i asked him, calmly, collectedly, what did i do? do you have me confused with someone else? but before i could finish i was told that "the 4 of us are always loud" and to "sit down!" it's funny because that was the first time the "4 of us" were there together and we were all quietly watching hockey. told my partner let's go. we waited outside for our two friends to finish their drinks, and before they could the owner was outside, drunk as a skunk, yelling how we are unwelcome and he's gonna call the cops and "we don't want your kind" -- i guess in shape and attractive isn't allowed here. fyi, in the past month i've gone to this bar 3 times, late at night, usually the only customer. in the past 3 months, i've gone maybe 4 times. SO WHAT EXACTLY DID I DO TO GET BLACKLISTED? nothing. and that's why this bar is horrible. don't waste your time.
