Friday night fun
I just went to the Honey Pot for the first time last night, a Friday night, and had such a great time! I am bisexual and went with my gay male friend and even though it was guy's night I still had a much better time at this gay club than I would have had at any straight club. Everybody is young and gorgeous and the music was great. To top it all off they had a great drag show that did seem like it lasted a little long, but was overall soooo much fun to watch. I of course cannot buy alcohol but the other drinks were much cheaper than any club I've been to in the past. Also the cover was only $5 and absolutely worth every penny!
Very Disappointed
My g/f and I planned a vacation to Treasure Island Fl for July 4-9 2010, saw the reviews of this club and added Saturday for the sole purpose of going to The Honey Pot. The reviews made it sound wonderful, only to find out most of the reviews were fabrications. It advertises NO cover on Sat for women, charged us a $10 cover, Charice was supposed to playing, she wasn't able to make it, was told FREE drinks from 11 to 12, to find out it was something called Well drinks....no idea what that means. Very YOUNG crowd, reviews made it sound like an upscale club with a varied age crowd, not even close. Second floor was not open, was told it probably wouldn't be open that night. A fight broke out right in front of us and we had to keep dodging the flying bodies. Had 1 beer and left. I hope that people take notice and find out the reviews are subjective. If you are 21 and looking for a hook up then probably the place to be, but for a more mature crowd looking for a night out of dancing and a few drinks certainly NOT the place to go. We will not be returning.

I just went there last night 6/12/10, the best thing about the club was that it was $5 to get in so I was not hesitant to leave. It was a very young crowd, it was not hype, the dance floor is the club, it was very small. The DJ was OK, but could of been a lot better. I will not waste another dollar in that establishment.
EXPENSIVE YBOR
I wish this club was located someplace else. It's nice - but SHEEZ what's with the prices??? GAYbor is just EXPENSIVE to party in period.
