The Crowds are Back!!!

Visited on a Wednesday (Broke-Ass Wednesday) and a Saturday night. Over a hundred guys on Saturday and 50 plus on Wednesday. Place is fun--ANYTHING GOES. Staff does not interfere with your play. The steam room and dark room were really crowded. Puts the other two dumps in Tampa to shame! Keep it up Ybor Resort

This place has a hotel wing to it, that really feels like a hotel, seperated from the rest of the bathhouse part, the rooms are amazing, at least the roman suite and boys of fun suite are, the others are a little out there, only downside is you have to use the public bathrooms, which is bad to shower, but I like privacy when doing, ahem, other things. But the price is incrediable and if you stay in the hotel section, there is no charge to get in the bath house part, which is great! except... ...The bathhouse was hit or miss. I stayed in the hotel for a little over a week, and the busiest I ever saw the bath house was during the pirate festival and that was like 20 guys. The other days, you had five or six at any given time, and this was late a t night as well as early evening. The steam room is pitch black, sorry but I like to see who is touching me. it seems to be mostly Trampa regulars that you could pick up at any club anyway...

Did someone say bath house?

I've been to other bath houses in the Tampa Bay Area and I can honestly say it's refreshing to finally see a bath house like this one. At first glance Ybor Resort & Spa is just that; tile floors from the 30's, fabulous Hotel suites, 2 conversation/sitting rooms and a beautiful courtyard with hot tub pool. Upstairs is like a dark wonderland of fun and frivolity. Like any other bath house, a floor filled with lockers and private rooms, but unlike any bath house a clean atmosphere with something for everyone. A sling room, maze, two types of saunas(yes it's open), Showers and regulars; that even when not in the throws of fantasy, will strike up some interesting conversation. There are daily and weekly specials, events, and now even a T-Dance from 3pm to 9pm on Sundays. $10 gets you Free food, Free Drinks, a locker and NO Membership Costs (BTW Kudo's to Arika Love and Crew who put on an amazing drag show this weekend dispite the weather. Muah) I say 2 thumbs up to the owners of this establishment. I finally have a place to go thats not only fun but I can always find a few cute boys to hang out with.

Ybor Resort & Spa- Tampa Bay's Hottest Gay Hotspot

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at the Ybor Resort & Spa for five days this past week. Let me preface this review by saying how much I usually loathe bathhouse styled anything simply because of hygienic issues, creepy patrons and employees who could care less. Unlike other bathhouses in Tampa Bay, and throughout Florida for that matter, the Ybor Resort & Spa is unique in that it has a hotel on the ground floor adjacent a sizeable clothing optional hot tub area. There, you can find guys 18 and older sunbathing naked and playing in the 50+ person hot tub at any time of the day or night. If you get bored watching the boys of Ybor bare all, you can head upstairs to the bathhouse where you can tempt temptation itself, and where three is definitely not a crowd. The bathhouse is rather intricate, similar to a maze at first glance, with many darkened hallways and dimly lit corridors. Some of the noteworthy points of interest include the dry sauna, steam room, group shower (don’t drop the soap!), voyeur/video room, sex swing room, S&M room and what can only be described as an orgy chamber. If you feel overwhelmed by the crowd, you can always retreat to a private room in the bathhouse or to an affordably priced room on the first floor of the hotel for even more privacy. Because the resort is within walking distance of all the major gay clubs in Ybor City, such as the Ybor Social Club / Ybor Eagle, G-Bar, The Honey Pot and the Castle, a large number of partiers migrate to the Ybor Resort & Spa nightly after those clubs close… and let me tell you, a drunken crowd of naked twenty something guys can be a lot of fun. J There’s also a sizable crowd there during the day and prior to the clubs closing, so don’t be afraid to sneak away for a discrete rendezvous at lunch or take off early one day for a fun filled afternoon. The Ybor Resort & Spa staff, most of whom were in their early twenties, were crucial in making our experience complete. Not only did they bring the place to life, but they also brought a subtle degree of professionalism to the table, the kind of which I’ve never seen before given the environment. They also have a relentless cleaning crew determined to keep the place disinfected, smelling fresh and looking dapper 24/7 - and they actually do it! And yes parking can be an issue, but that is to be expected - it’s Ybor City! There is a secured parking garage within walking distance, or you can choose to park in a paid parking lot across the street, which is not as secure.
